The 1970 Le Mans 24hr race is likely to make even the most stiff upper-lipped petrolhead weak at the knees. The event was dominated as much by the weather as it was by Porsche; their iconic 917 racer taking 1st and 2nd under different teams and guises.
Not an event for the racing purist, perhaps - official results show that only seven entrants recorded an official result, largely because of the weather - but because it signified the arrival of Porsche at the top table of endurance racing with Porsche's first outright Le Mans victory, a mantle they held with an unbreakable grip for most of the remainder of the century, particularly at Le Mans.
This exclusive Joel Clark design is a faithful recreation of his vinyl collage abstract work celebrating the winning machine, the uber-iconic 917K #23 Porsche KG Salzburg entry driven to victory by Hans Hermann and Richard Attwood.
Available in three base colours and two differing designs, you can show your love for arguably the most famous and iconic sports racer of all time.
